The voice data are stored into individual folders to reduce confusion. 2. If you want to install them, copy all the folders to Cepstral folder (excluding the exclamation marks) if you have Cepstral installed on your computer. If your operating system is x86, it's located on your operating system drive. C:\Program Files\Cepstral\voices If your operating system is x64, it's located on your operating system drive. C:\Program Files (x86)\Cepstral\voices USING REGISTRY TWEAKS TO MAKE CEPSTRAL VOICES APPEAR: 1. Open the "! Registry tweaks for voices" folder. 2. From here, there are two folders if your operating system is 64-bit or 32-bit. You can double-click .reg files to make some patches if you have copied the voices to Cepstral folder. 3. Once it's finished, your voices will appear on SAPI5 list or Cepstral tools application. PATCHING "swift.dll": This is the final part I am going to tell you how I did it. No one has ever did it when I was only one who did it... and it worked! swift.dll is a core component file that is used as an engine in order to make Cepstral voices work. Every single Cepstral voice that is installed is unlicensed, the license warnings are stored on "C:\Program Files\Cepstral\bin\swift.dll". Every time you use to test the voice, you will hear something like this "This voice is not licensed." and "Please register me." which is annoying to cut the parts out. 1. Open the "! Patch for unlicensed voices" folder. 2. From here, copy the swift.dll (NOT swift_backup.dll) file and find "Cepstral" folder to your Program Files folder. 3. Double-click the folder named "bin". 4. Paste the .dll file that you copied from the patch folder, click continue if it tells you in order to replace the file. 5. Once it's done, download Balabolka, put any text you want and enjoy! You can now install Cepstral Diane and Cepstral Millie voices without having to deal with license warnings. But remember, if you install another Cepstral voice that is installed, you will always have to replace the patched swift.dll file from bin folder, otherwise you will be getting license warnings again. I have included the screenshot of modified and original swift.dll file. The license warnings were UNCOMPRESSED, it's ridiculous how they didn't make it compressed. SOURCES: Alejandra, Belle, Charles and Dallas are included from the official website. Retro voices of David and Damien are archived from Wayback Machine. Retro voices of Belle and Dallas are found thanks to "@andevioustheii" who still had the old "lost" versions dated back in June 2010. Created by 20MorePercentCooler 2025/12/07
