Kid Works 2 for Windows v1.0 LATE-BREAKING NEWS!

Congratulations on your purchase of Davidson's Kid Works 2 for Windows!
We know that you will have a great time exploring the program's many
exciting features. To supply you with up-to-the-minute information, we
have included the following comments.

VIDEO

It has been found that several Windows video drivers may cause
erratic behavior under certain conditions. These problems may
occur in 256-color mode. Symptoms include the Paint Can in
Story Illustrator not functioning correctly, or patterns not
being drawn correctly on the Story Illustrator drawing pad.
If you experience any of the above symptoms or any other sort of
unusual screen activity, try switching from 256-color mode to
16-color mode.

To change your video mode:

o	From the Program Manager, click the Windows Setup icon
	in the Main group.
o	From the Options menu, select Change System Settings.
o	Click the arrow to the far right of the word "Display".
You will see a list of video drivers.
o	Scroll through the list until you see the word "VGA".
o	Double-click "VGA" and follow any screen prompts.
Windows may ask you to insert a diskette that came with
		your original Windows package.

The video cards that may display unusual behavior in certain circumstances
when running Kid Works 2 for Windows are:

	Diamond SpeedSTAR
	HT216 Local Bus VGA Controller

SOUND

It has been found that the Pro Audio Spectrum 16 version 1.45 sound
drivers do not support Kid Works 2 for Windows "Text to Speech".
The symptoms for this problem include the program not speaking your
story in Story Writer and Story Player, and words not being spoken
in Icon Maker and the Speech Editor.

If you find that you are having this problem, please contact
Media Vision for sound driver version 1.46. This newer version will
correct this speech problem.
